Network
We operate a high-speed network managed by Windows Server 2003, soon to be upgraded to Server 2008. In addition to the phone systems we operate Dell servers, each with dual Intel Xeon processors and full RAID 5 storage.
One partition on the server is used by us for our shared software activities – primarily the accounting system. The rest is available to the whole network and contains an automated tape backup unit. When your computer joins the network we make a partition of the RAID drive ‘visible’ to your machine as drive X: You make backups of your data onto drive X: and we automatically back up the whole RAID drive to tape every night, thus making secure backups of your data, simply and automatically. Every day our tapes are removed from the office and stored in a secure external facility, ready to bring back and reuse in the event you have a disk crash or other loss of data.

All CAT6 network connections are made through a series of patch panels. This gives us complete flexibility in how we connect you to the network. Every office has a minimum of four outlets. You can use any of these for telephone, any for your own direct line or fax line if you so desire, and any for network connections. We have total flexibility to connect them in any way, on demand, simply by plugging in patch cables in our server cabinet.
Wireless Network
In addition, the network is wireless from any point in our offices including our “Internet café” and the outside sun deck, so with a wireless network card your laptop can be online anywhere, any time.
